Salmon gratin - Mexican recipe

Salmon gratin – Mexican recipe

Chipotle’s woody, slightly smoky flavor pairs perfectly with grilled salmon. The marinade made with fresh tuna is also delicious. This is a very healthy recipe.

Ingredients for 4 people

  • 4 salmon fillets, approximately 175-225g each

Accompanied by:

  • cut tomatoes into wedges
  • 3 chives (thinly sliced)
  • Shredded lettuce

Marinade:

  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons virgin olive oil
  • a pinch of allspice
  • A pinch of cinnamon powder
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 1-2 teaspoons of marinated chipotle sauce from a jar or packaged chipotle
  • 1/4 teaspoon powdered cumin
  • pinch of sugar
  • salt and pepper
  • lime slices for garnish

Preparation:

To prepare the marinade, mash the garlic and place in a nonmetallic bowl with the oil, allspice, cinnamon, lime juice, chipotle marinade, cumin, and sugar. Season and stir well.

Spread the salmon with the marinade and place on a large non-metallic plate. Wrap in plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.

Preheat grill to medium heat. Place the salmon in a baking dish and cook over high heat for 3 to 4 minutes on each side, or until cooked through. You can also grill it on the barbecue if you like.

Stir in tomatoes and chives. Arrange salmon on individual plates with tomato salad and lettuce strips. Garnish the plate with lime and enjoy.
