Towards the end of the year: cinnamon, pepper, crunch. This chocolate truffle has an unexpected spice.
Ingredients: 30 pieces
- 170g softened cream cheese
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 225 g dark chocolate (melted and cooled)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
- 1 cup crushed cornflakes*
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
*Corn flakes prepared as a breakfast cereal. A famous brand is Kellogg’s.
Preparation:
In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, chocolate, and vanilla and mix.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until easy to handle.
Combine corn, cinnamon, and pepper in a small bowl.
Mix the chocolate and form into balls about 2cm wide.
Roll them into the cornflake mixture.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
