The combination of tequila, citrus and chili pepper gives it a special and exquisite flavor. This recipe is also very easy to make.
material: For 4 people
- 2/3 cup tequila
- 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 3 cloves garlic (chopped)
- chopped jalapeno pepper (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
- 1 kg 350 g (2 1/2 lb) chicken wings, tips cut off (reserve for soup)
Preparation:
Place the wings in a large bowl or large resealable plastic bag and add the other pre-mixed ingredients.
Mix well to coat the wings. Cover the bowl or seal the bag and refrigerate for 4 to 6 hours. If desired, you can marinate the chicken wings overnight.
Preheat oven to 400°.
Cover the baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Place the chicken wings in a single layer on the tray and pour the marinade evenly over the wings.
Bake until the meat is well browned and falling away from the bone, about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
If you want the wings to be crispy, remove the marinade from the oven tray after 1 hour, set aside to eat, and continue browning the wings for the remaining time or until crispy.
Transfer to a plate and add the remaining marinade.
