material: Makes enough for about 4 people.

  • 1 cup of rice
  • 1 liter whole milk
  • 1 liter + 1 cup of water
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • cinnamon powder (optional)

Preparation:

Wash the rice with plenty of water.

Separate half a cup of rice and soak in a cup of water and set aside.

Cook the remaining rice with 1 liter of water and a cinnamon stick. Stir occasionally for 20 minutes.

Mix the reserved rice with the soaking water and add to the pot where the remaining rice is cooking.

Clean the blender glass with a little milk, utilize all the rice left at the bottom, and pour in the remaining milk.

Depending on your preference, you can sweeten it with condensed milk or substitute brown sugar or piloncillo. Flavored with vanilla essence.

Cook on high heat for 10 minutes, then reduce heat and cook for another 10 minutes or until desired consistency is reached.

To serve: Sprinkle with cinnamon powder, if desired.
