  • 1 can of condensed milk 400g
  • 1 can of evaporated milk 340g
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/2 cup guava paste
  • 115g softened cream cheese

Preparation:

For caramel:

Place the sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat and stir with a wooden spoon until it melts and turns a deep golden color.

Immediately pour into the flan mold and tilt it so that the caramel covers the bottom and half of the sides. Set the flan mold and make the flan while cooling the caramel.

For francs:

Place all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Pour the mixture into the flan mold.

Lightly oil the inside of the flan mold lid and cover the flan. If you don’t have a flan mold, use a round metal bowl and cover the flan with aluminum foil.

Place the flan mold in a baking dish and pour boiling water until half of the flan mold is covered.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until flan is cooked. If you insert a knife into the center, it will come out clean.

Place the flan on a rack and run a knife around the edge of the pan. Once the flan has cooled, cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Can also be made a day in advance and refrigerated overnight if desired.

To remove from the mold, remove the flan from the refrigerator and soak the bottom of the mold in hot water for about 30 seconds. Invert the mold onto a plate and carefully lift the mold out of the flan.
